We Had the Time of Our Lives

I've never been one for tourist towns. Small college towns, maybe, but not tourist areas. However, I live in a tiny Appalachian town renown for its Autumn splendor, with an influx of thousands during leaf season. Ironic how that happened.

The past week has been one of the most idyllic of my adult life. Moments of connecting with my family like we have never had, sunsets and sunrises you couldn't envision without being present, bike rides, food, laughter, naps. It was one for the books.

We spent 8 nights in a sweet Hilton Head Island villa on the beach. It was built in the 50s, but remodeled. I'll be writing a post soon about vacationing with a family for a week on an $800 dollar budget all inclusive.

For now, I am riding home on a spiritual, emotional, and physical high. Filled with gratitude for these moments. Our boys were thrilled to peices, my husband got much needed refreshing, we spent time as a family.

If I could force you to do the same, take a week and get and way with your family, I would. I glanced at my phone each day, but made the most of the moments. I got a few pictures, but posted a thousand images in my head. God's grace is so good. His ability to provide peace and a location for unity and refreshing is overwhelming.

I'm excited to head back to our beautiful little mountain town as it welcome Autumn, cool evenings and cooler mornings, crunchy leaves, and hand painted mountain tops.

I can't get enough of this little life I live. Savor the moments with me, friends.

So This is Life,
