Eating Out...At Home! Asian Inspired Cousine

We love eating out! No dishes, no heating up the kitchen, someone refilled your drink....we also like money, so it's in our best interest to eat out at home. One of our favorite dishes is an Asian inspired meal I make in a weekly basis. My boys ages 4 years and 2 years both eat this up, as does my hubby.

These recipes will make enough for a family of four with lunch leftovers for the following day.

Baked Egg Rolls

1 bag of broccoli slaw

1 bag tri color cole slaw

1 package of egg roll wrappers

1/4c chopped spring onion

1T coconut aminos

Olive oil

Mix the two bags of slaw, onion, and coconut aminos. Grease a baking pan well with olive oil. Fill wrappers with mixture and wrap according to directions on the package. Bake on 425° 10 minutes on one side. Flip and bake 8 minutes on the other side. They should be a golden color on each side when done.

Spicy Raspberry Dipping Sauce

6oz organic raspberry preserves

4oz chili garlic sauce

1T butter

1/8c water

Add all ingredients to a small pot. Bring to a boil. Reduce heat to a simmer and let cook 5 minutes. Stir and serve. Goes excellent with the egg rolls.

These two items are staples in our home. Both my older boys devour these items and always ask for more. Hubby approved too!

Keep an eye out for a second blog post with more Asian inspired cuisine.
