A deodorant recipe is a must have and with summer impending, I'm on a kick to get lots of little housekeeping items done so we can spend our days splashing around in local lakes, laughing with friends, and playing in the great outdoors. At the bequest of several friends, this DIY deodorant recipe is one you will want to save for sure.
These DIY deodorants are simple to make and last me forever (admittedly, I only use this stuff a couple days a week).
This recipe will make about 4 containers of deodorant. You can purchase the nifty containers by clicking here
1c coconut oil
3/4c arrowroot powder
1/4c baking soda
1/8c aloe vera
1T shea butter
20-30 drops of your favorite essential oils (I use a blend of sweet orange, patchouli, vetiver, lavender, and sandalwood)
Place your coconut oil, shea butter, and beeswax in a glass bowl over a pot full of boiling water (double boiler method). Mix well until all is combined and beeswax is entirely liquid.
Quickly add in all other ingredients and stir well, but rapidly. Pour into your containers and refrigerate to set.
If your home is warmer than 70° you may choose to keep this in your fridge as it can get soft at warmer temperatures.
There you have it! A little DIY deodorant recipe for your crunchy, budget friendly self! Don't have time? Don't want to buy the ingredients? Message me. I've been selling this natural, DIY deodorant at a fair price. I'd love to whip some up for you and your family.
So This is Life,
